Book Fair

PTO will be hosting a book fair at Thursday night's Open House from 6:30-8:00 PM.  They always have a supply of wonderful books, so please come out to support your students!

A Look at Next Week:

Spelling- We will be studying Lesson 27 in Spelling this week, and take a test on Friday.

Social Studies- Students will continue to read about the Revolutionary War.

Reading- Students will continue create their China Brochures and lanterns.

Language Arts- Students will continue to study Pronouns.    

Science- Students will read Lesson 11.3 which is on weather patterns.  They will take their open note assessment on Friday.

Math-  Students will continue to work on adding and subtracting fractions.  They will take a Quiz on Lessons 9.1-9.5 on Tuesday.

Tuesday-  Class Reward- Comfy Pants Day
Thursday- Open House/Book Fair/Ice Cream Social
Friday- Spirit Day- Crosstown Classic...wear Sox or Cubs shirt

A Look at Next Week:

Spelling- We will be studying Lesson 26 in Spelling this week, and take a test on Friday.

Social Studies- Students will paraphrase the Declaration of Independence and begin reading about the Revolutionary War.

Reading- Students will continue to read about China.  Students will begin researching facts for their China brochures or postcards.

Language Arts- Students will continue to type up their Me Front Page articles and trace their pictures.  They will also begin the next grammar unit on Pronouns.  

Science- Students will take an open-note assessment on Lesson 11.2 on Tuesday.  They will then begin Lesson 11.3 which is on weather patterns.

Math-  Students will finish Chapter 8 and take their test on Wednesday.

A Peek at Next Week

A Look at Next Week:
Spelling- We will be studying Lesson 25 in Spelling this week, and take a test on Friday.

Social Studies- Students will be learning about the Declaration of Independence.

Reading- Students will be reading about China.  We will be looking at cultural, and economical differences between China and the United States.

Language Arts- Students will finish their "Me-Page" projects.  They will type up their articles and trace their pictures.  

Science- Students will take an open-note assessment on Lesson 11.1 on Monday.  They will then begin Lesson 11.2 which is on the water cycle.

Math-  Students will take a Lesson 8.1-8.4 Quiz on Monday.  Then they will work on comparing fractions, and changing fractions into decimals.
