Shoe Drive

The girl scouts are having a shoe drive.  They are collecting gently used shoes and will be donating them to those in need.  Any and all types of shoes are welcome, and there are collection bins around the building.

A Look at Next Week:
Spelling- We will be doing Lesson 17 and we will take the test on Friday.

Social Studies- We will take a test covering material from Chapter 6 on Tuesday.

Reading- We will write an extended response that goes with our Paul Revere story, and then we will read "Katie's Trunk."

Language Arts- Students will finish studying our punctuation unit.  We will go over abbreviations and titles, Lessons 7 and 8 in our text books.

Science- We will take our Chapter 14 test on Friday.  

Math-  We will continue to study decimals in Unit 5. We will take a quiz over Lessons 8-10 on Thursday.

A Peek at Next Week

A Look at Next Week:

Math-  We will continue to study decimals in Unit 5. We will take a quiz over Lessons 4-7 on Tuesday.  We will then continue onto Lessons 8-10.

A Peek at Next Week

A Look at Next Week:
Spelling- We will be doing Lesson 16 and we will take the test on Friday.

Social Studies- We will finish reading Chapter 6 on Colonial Life.

Reading- We will finish reading our literature story about Paul Revere and will be talking about authors' purpose.

Language Arts- Students will continue studying our punctuation unit.  We will be focusing on using quotation marks correctly.

Science- We will continue to study Chapter 14 on Matter.  Students will take an open-note assessment on Lesson 2 on Wednesday.

Math-  We will continue to study decimals in Unit 5. We will take a quiz over Lessons 1-3 on Tuesday.  We will then continue onto Lessons 4 and 5.

Too Good for Drugs

Yesterday was our first session with Deputy Seward with the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.  Your child has a letter that explains the program and what your child will be learning during the next 10 weeks.  Please take the time each week to ask your child about the interactive "family" assignment which corresponds with information covered during school.  We are all working together to make sure your child can make great decisions!  

A Look at Next Week:
Spelling- We will be doing Lesson 15 and we will take the test on Friday.

Social Studies- We will continue Chapter 6 on Colonial Life.

Reading- We will begin our unit on historical fiction.  Students will be reading some stories out of our literature book.

Language Arts- Students will continue to do some descriptive writing, and will continue our unit on punctuation.

Science- We will continue to study Chapter 14 on Matter.  Students will read and take notes on Lesson 2:  Phases of Matter.

Math-  We will continue to study decimals in Unit 5.
