Earth Day

Last week we got together with our pen-pals and did an Earth Day activity.  We learned how to make recycled  paper.  First students tore paper into small pieces, and then we let it soak in water.  Next we blended the paper with the water, and then we poured the paper pulp back into the tub of water.  Finally we collected the paper pulp onto a screen and then let it dry.  It was fun to see the end result and to socialize with our pen-pals along the way.
