Happy Thanksgiving!

Today students had a surprise assembly as a reward for all their hard work with PBIS this school year. Students are remembering their "Cool Tools" and collecting Spartan Stars. Therefore this morning we had the Jessie White Tumblers as our surprise guests. They were fantastic and the students really enjoyed the event. Congratulations to the Lakeview students on all of their hard work!

A Peek at Next Week

Next week in Language Arts students will be turning in their final drafts of their persuasive essay on Tuesday. We will also be previewing our unit on verbs. In Reading we will take a quiz on chapters 13-16. Students have questions, notes and vocabulary they can use to study.

A Peek at Next Week

In Language Arts next week we will finish the rough drafts of our persuasive essays. We will be focusing on our transitions and making sure our paragraphs flow together. The final draft of the essay is due Tuesday, November 23rd.

In Reading we will continue to read The Cay. We will have a quiz on chapters 9-12 on Tuesday, along with some vocabulary words. Then we will go on to read chapters 13-16 by Thursday. On Friday our book reports are due.

Peek at Next Week

Next week in Language Arts we will be working on our persuasive essay. Students will fill out a graphic organizer, write their hook and thesis, and finish their introductions. In Reading we will read chapters 9-11, in the Cay.
