ISAT

Students will be taking ISAT tests every morning next week. Seventh graders will be tested on Reading, Math, and Science. Calculators are allowed on all the math tests! Students should remember to get plenty of sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.

Tuesday- ISAT Reading Tests Part I and Part II
Wednesday- ISAT Reading Test Part III, Math Part I
Thursday- ISAT Math Test Part II and Part III
Friday- ISAT Science Test Part I and Part II

A Peek at Next Week

Next week in Language Arts we will be finishing our ISAT book and we will be working on Extended Responses. In Reading we will continue to read The Wanderer and learn about radio code.

The Wanderer

In Reading we have started our new novel, The Wanderer, by Sharon Creech. In this story our main character, Sophie, sails across the Atlantic with her three uncles and two cousins. They are sailing to England so that they can visit their grandfather. Last week we went over sailing terms, the parts of the boat, a map of their voyage, and our new vocabulary. This week we will continue to read the novel and take notes on their adventures.

Spartan Pride!

Pack the Place was a huge success! Both the boys and girls basketball teams ended with victories. Students had all week to get excited about this event. We wore crazy hats on Monday, dressed as twins on Tuesday, and wore Lakeview colors the rest of the week. I was also one of the teachers that received a pie in the face on Thursday night. Overall it was a fun week.
