Science-  We will begin Unit 2, Chapter 1, "Why did the food coloring separate into different dyes?"  As a food scientist, students will be looking at how the different properties of individual substances affect the overall properties of the mixture they create.  The unit question for Lesson 1.1 is:  "What happens when two substances are mixed together?"  Our vocabulary words are mixture, observe, property, and substance.
