Social Studies- Students will be discussing Lesson 8.3, and will be taking cause and effect notes. They will cover the Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party, Intolerable Acts, and the First Continental Congress. They will also begin to write paragraphs looking at each event from both the Patriots' and Loyalists' viewpoints.
Science- Students will be picking an element from the Periodic Table and research some of its properties. They will also finish taking Cornell notes on Lesson 14.1.

Reading and Language Arts- We will finish our close read of "Yankee Doodle." Then we will read "And Then What Happened Paul Revere." Eventually we will read Longfellow's poem about Paul Revere's famous ride.

Word Work- Students will continue to study List 10: cap, di, semi, sect, vac, and vis. They will also be going over vocabulary for our Paul Revere story: cargo, colonies, revolution, express, oppose, liberty, Patriots, sentries, and taxes.
Math- Students will be taking their Math PARCC testing this week. They will also be playing multiplication and division games.
