I hope everyone has a great week off! Go outside and enjoy the weather. When you come back from spring break we will begin our career unit. Students will choose a career to research and give an informational speech about their topic. Then in Reading we will begin our next novel, The Wanderer, by Sharon Creech.

A Peek at Next Week
Next week we will have a test on prepositions, and we will have our final quiz on Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. Students will also be presenting their collage book reports.

Prepositions
Next week we will start our unit on prepositions. Students will learn about prepositional phrases, and how they can sometimes be adjective or adverb phrases. In reading we will continue to read Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie.

A Peek at Next Week
In Reading we will take a quiz on the second part of Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. We will then start the third and final section of the book. Then in Language Arts we will review our lessons on adjectives and adverbs, and take a modifier test on Thursday.

ISAT
ISAT testing is happening all next week. On Tuesday students will take the first two Reading tests, and on Wednesday they will take their third Reading test and first Math test. Then on Thursday students will finish the Math tests, and on Friday they will take their two Science tests. Students are allowed to use calculators on all of the Math tests this year. To prepare your children for these tests please make sure they get plenty of sleep and that they eat a healthy breakfast in the morning.

ISAT prep
