A Look at Next Week:
Social Studies- We will begin to read and discuss Chapter 10. We will be looking at the Articles of Confederation and discussing the Federalists papers.
ELA
Reading- We will continue to use multiple sources to look at a single event in history. We are practicing reading with expression and feeling. Students will continue to practice reciting certain stanzas of Longfellow's poem. They will also compare and contrast the different accounts they have read about Paul Revere's ride.

How are hardships in history similar and different?
Word Work- Spelling: Students will be working with our ELA vocabulary, and will take a test on Friday. The words will be: determination, custom, reputation, extended, triumph, inherited, integrity, prejudice, apathetic, and humiliation
Vocabulary- Students will play word games on the iPad and Scrabble.

Science- Students will review Chapter 14 on matter, and take a test on Wednesday.
Math- We will review adding and subtracting mixed numbers, and will hopefully take a quiz over this on Thursday. There are two main ways to subtract mixed numbers; one is to use borrowing and regrouping, and the other is to turn the mix number into an improper fraction, subtract, and simplify.
