A Look at Next Week:
Social Studies- We will take cause/effect notes on Lesson 9.2 "Patriot's at War." Students will also take the point of view of a soldier who just crossed the Delaware and will be writing a letter home to his or her family describing the event.
ELA
Reading- We will be using multiple sources to look at a single event in history. Students will finish reading And Then What Happened Paul Revere? Then we will look at Longfellow's poem, "Paul Revere's Ride."
Essential Questions: How does the time period of the hardship impact future decisions and events?
How are hardships in history similar and different?
Word Work- Spelling: Students will be studying Lesson 32, and will take a test on Friday.
Vocabulary- Students will play word games on the iPad and Scrabble.

Science- Students will read Lesson 14.2 "What are Physical Properties and Changes?" We will read and take notes on the lesson. The class will also observe an experiment dealing with the density of different liquids, and the difference between solutions and mixtures.
Math- Students will take a quiz over adding and subtracting fractions on Monday. Then we will work on adding and subtracting mixed numbers (Lessons 9.9-9.12).
