STEM: Building a Soccer Ball
A Peek at this Week:
ELA:
Writing: We will continue to build our writing stamina in our Writing notebooks. We have also typed our rough draft of our narratives. This week we will work on revising our writing.
Reading Skills: Students will review different forms of text structure. We will begin our second module, "Come to Your Senses."
Essential Question: How do people and animals use their senses to navigate the world?
Word Work: Students will be working with our new vocabulary words, by defining the word, drawing a picture of the word, finding synonyms and antonyms, and writing them in sentences.
Essential Vocab: Perception, Distinguish, Aroma, Textile
Math: Students will continue to build multiplication arrays using base ten blocks. Students will be using the arrays to show both multiplication and division.
Science: We will begin our first unit on understanding force and energy.
Social Studies: We will be reading about the economy of the Midwest.
